After a review ends and the review reports are shared, this is only when the fun part starts. Here you will find out how to read, understand, find information, and make use of your review report.
The report score legend
If your review has any questions/topics with a rating scale response method you will find a legend near the top of the review report. It will consist of your rating scale labels and scores, as well as the score bars.
There are three possible score bars.
Average Score - This score includes all feedback averaged into one score per topic/question (excludes self-assessment ratings).
Manager's Score - This score is based on the rating or response from the feedback recipient's direct manager.
Self-assessment - This score is based on the rating or response from the feedback recipient who completed the self-evaluation.
The score bars and their coinciding color may appear near a feedback rating bubble or in the feedback comparison line graphs. The bubble(s) under the line graphs will depict your individual ratings received.
If you look at the image below, there are three line graphs and four individual ratings. The self-assessment is noted by the blue line and the rating bubble with the blue self-assessment icon in the lower right. We can see that this user gave themselves a 7 on the rating scale. Rating bubbles without any identifiers are anonymous rarings from peers and/or direct reports. Anonymity is decided by the admin who created the review.
Whose feedback will I find in the review report?
Depending on the type of review, the review report may have feedback responses from:
- a self-evaluation.
- a manager's review.
- a peer's review.
- a direct report's review
- Or a combination of all four.
Locate what peers were selected to give you feedback by navigating to the upper right side of your report and looking in the white box titled "Selected reviewers"
Note: Simply because a colleague was selected to give you feedback, does not mean they actually completed or submitted feedback responses in the review.
What is the anonymity of the review report?
Your company will have set policies around the anonymity of the feedback exchanged in this review. Based on how your company administrators set the anonymity of the review report you may or may not see the name of the feedback reviewer. To check go to:
- The Reviews page.
- Find the review.
- Open the Summary page.
- Scroll to the Report sharing section.
- View the anonymity of the shared reports.
Hidden Strengths and Blind Spots
Near the bottom of your report, you may find Hidden Strengths and Blind Spots.
Hidden Strengths are the average rating on the topics where a peer or manager gave the feedback recipient a higher rating than they gave in their self-assessment.
Blind Spots are the topics in which the feedback recipient received a lower average rating from their peers or manager than they gave themselves in their self-assessment.
Hidden Strengths and Blind Spots are great talking points for a manager and a team member to uncover any misalignment.
Reacting and responding to feedback in a report
Similar to real-time feedback, a feedback recipient can also react or respond to feedback received in a review report. Learn how to do so here.
Sharing or downloading a report
On the upper right of your review report, there will be two buttons, one blue and the other orange.
To download your report as a PDF click the blue button. A new page will load showing your PDF report, where you can easily select to download it to your computer.

The review summary and next steps
At the bottom of your review report, there will be a section called Summary and next steps. Here you can write down your lessons learned, next steps and your action plan. You can also refer back to them anytime in the future.
Summary and next steps give you the ability to write key takeaways from the review process and the feedback you received. Only the feedback recipient and their direct manager can write comments in this section.
Note: The comments entered here will be visible to any colleague that has access to the report.
