When setting up a review, first ensure that the option to give a self-assessment is on. You can select this when choosing your review type by ticking the box ‘add self-assessment’ or by selecting ‘add self-assessment’ at the top of the page when you’re setting up your review.

Once the self-assessment is added as a part of your review, you have three options:

No self-assessment deadline

The deadline to complete the self-assessment is the same as the general review deadline. In case managers are allowed to view the self-assessment while they’re reviewing their direct reports, they will only be able to do so if their direct report has already completed their self-assessment.

A soft self-assessment deadline

All participants asked to complete a self-assessment will be communicated a deadline that you choose in the ‘Schedule’ tab. They will receive reminders before the deadline, but if they don’t submit it before that time, they will still be able to complete it later, until the general review deadline.

A hard self-assessment deadline

All participants asked to complete a self-assessment will be communicated a deadline that you choose in the ‘Schedule’ tab. They will receive reminders before the deadline and if they don’t submit it before that time, they will not be able to complete it later, unless an admin re-opens the self-assessment for them
