Let's get started.

Types of goals

There are three types of goals in Impraise:

- Personal Goals
- Team Goals
- Organization Goals

Personal Goals - You can have two types of Personal goals in Impraise.

Personal Development goals are not OKRs. They should help you improve skills you can use to advance in your career, but are not related to any KPI's. They can be projects you would like to tackle that will give you expertise in a professional area of interest, or attributes you would like to further develop upon (like public speaking or coding in a new language).

Work goals are OKR's, or business goals. They should set expectations around what is expected of you in your role, your team, and your company. They should help you stay focused on contributing to your organization in the most effective way.

  1. Enter a title and describe your goal. Add as much detail as possible - it will come in handy later on.
  2. Set the visibility of your goal. Default visibly is to your manager only, yet you can extend the visibility to everyone in your company.
  3. Add goal milestones. This will make them appear more manageable, and give you points of reference to track your progress later on.
  4. Set a deadline for when your goal should be completed. You can select a pre-set date or customize the date.

You're all set! Your goal is auto-created once you add in a date.
